Title : The abyss floor Company Name : Park Jungeun
About the Piece :
The world in my futon, "The abyss floor" contains stories of comforting people while ruminating on the invisible inside. How much comfort can we receive from the sense of softness? I feel unspeakably at ease in this small futon. But I remembered the depths of my heart in that comfort. I pictured the inner story hidden between the layers of futons piled up on my bed.
I want to reveal uncountable layers hidden in one’s ego, and through that, I want to let out stories that are personal and social. The ego placed alone is simple, sometimes more complicated and diverse than anything else. An isolated ego can only be understood when it is placed alone by facing itself and thinking about itself.
